مايو 2023: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي في 11 مايو 2023. وتم تنظيم الاجتماع تحت عنوان: آخر التطورات السياسية المتعلقة باليمن. كما خصص لمناقشة المحادثات التي جرت بين المملكة العربية السعودية وأنصار الله خلال الفترة من 8 إلى 13 أبريل 2023 من حيث تأثيرها على عملية السلام في اليمن وآثارها على المستوى الإقليمي والدولي. ايضا، الهدنة وعوامل نجاحها تمت مناقشتها على شكل مجموعتي عمل من أجل مناقشة المسار الإنساني من حيث ما تم إنجازه حتى الآن ولاحقا، ثم إلى أين يتجه المسار السياسي؟ ماهي عوامل نجاح الهدنة التي تم لمسها، ما هي الضمانات الموجودة لتنفيذ أي تسوية سياسية تم التوصل إليها. وكانت الأهداف والغايات الرئيسية للاجتماع هي أن يلقي أعضاء الفريق بعض الضوء على آخر التطورات التي حدثت بين عقد اجتماع الفريق السابق واجتماع مايو، والمباحثات التي جرت بين وفد صنعاء الوطني للمفاوضات برئاسة محمد عبد السلام ، والوفد السعودي برئاسة سفير المملكة العربية السعودية في اليمن، السفير محمد الجابر. وجرت المحادثات بحضور وفد عماني. تم تخصيص اجتماع الفريق أيضًا لمناقشة الجوانب المتعلقة بالهدنة من أجل تحديد التقدم في المسار الإنساني ، وما الذي تم تحقيقه خلال الهدنة ، وما الذي يجب تحقيقه؟ بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، سيهدف أعضاء الفريق إلى تحديد اتجاه المسار السياسي ، وعوامل نجاح الهدنة ، وضمانات تنفيذ أي اتفاق سياسي يتم التوصل إليه. النتيجة الرئيسية للاجتماع تشمل: تصور أعضاء الفريق فيما يتعلق بالمسار الإنساني ، ما الذي تم تحقيق منه ، وماذا يتبقى؟ المسار السياسي إلى أين يتجه؟ ما هي عوامل نجاح الهدنة؟ وما هي ضمانات تنفيذ أي تسوية سياسية يتم التوصل إليها؟
May, 2023: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 11 May, 2023. The meeting was organized under the title: The Latest Political Developments Pertaining to Yemen”. The meeting was allocated for discussion of the talks that took place between Saudi Arabia and Ansar Allah during 8-13 April 2023 in terms of their impact on the peace process in Yemen as well as their effects at the regional and international level. Then, a workshop on the armistice and its success factors took place in the form of two working groups in order to discuss the humanitarian track in terms of what has been accomplished so far, and what it entails to be achieved, followed by where the political track is heading to, what factors of success of the armistice that were felt and recorded, what guarantees there are for the implementation of any political settlement reached. The main goals and objectives of the meeting were for the SSG members to shed some light on the latest development that took place between the previous held SSG meeting and May meeting, headed by the talks held between Sana’a national delegation to the negotiation, chaired by Mohamed AbdulSallam, and the Saudi delegation, chaired by KSA Ambassador to Yemen, H.E. Mohamed Al Jaber. The talks took place in the presence of an Omani delegation. The SSG meeting was also allocated for the discussion of aspects pertaining to the armistice in order to determine the progress in the humanitarian track, what has been achieved during the armistice, and what remains to be accomplished? In addition, the SSG members will aim to determine the direction of the political track, the factors of success of the armistice, and the guarantees for the implementation of any reached political agreement. The main outcome of the meeting include: the perception of the members of SSG regarding the humanitarian track, what has been achieved from it, and what remains? The political path to where it is heading? What are the factors of success of the armistice? And what are the guarantees for the implementation of any reached political settlement?
