March, 2023: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 1-2 March, 2023, as a continuation of the previous January and February meetings on (sovereign resources “3”). The meeting was organized under the title: (From Armistice to Negotiations) and Formulating the Vision of the Strategic Support Group) to neutralize resources, and mechanisms for their distribution at the current phase. The main goals and objectives of the meeting were for the members to brainstorm about: How to neutralize sovereign resources; Mechanisms for depositing sovereign resources at the Central Bank Governorates’ proportions of resources? Proportion for development projects? Guarantees of resource allocation mechanisms? The SSG members were given a hand out, which was a draft aggregation of the outcome of their work from the previous February meeting (sovereign resources: what are they? The mechanisms for their distribution, and priorities for their use), as a reference for them to use during March meeting. The main outcome of the March meeting include: further refining of what the national sovereign sources are, the mechanism for their distribution and the priorities for their use, at least at the current phase, with suggestions, recommendations and guarantees to ensure the issue is tackled practically in terms of how to collect and spend revenues and on what.

February, 2023: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting on 9 February, 2023. This one-day monthly meeting was designated as a hearing session about sovereign resources: revenues, distribution mechanisms and priorities for their use. The main aim of the meeting SSG the Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized for the members on February was to listen the perspectives of SSG members about sovereign resources in terms of what they are, the revenues generated, the distribution mechanisms and the priorities for their use. The main objective of the meeting was to come up with a draft vision on what the national sovereign resources are, how the members perceive about the revenues generated from the sovereign resources in terms of what mechanisms are considered as best practices to redistribute the revenues at the local and central level and what are the priorities for spending the collected revenues. The main outcome includes: the discussion of national sovereign resources issue will eventually contribute in defining the form of the state of Yemen in the future. The meeting resulted in having a definite list of resources, which are considered sovereign resources, a wide range of revenues that could be collected or generated as part of the national sovereign resources, in addition to the various perspectives on how and what priorities the collected revenues should be spent. In addition, the meeting resulted in different scenarios in terms of what, when and how the issue of sovereign resources can be tackled according to SSG members, most distinguishably the scenario of the redistribution of revenues at the present time, during the transitional phase and later on after reaching a comprehensive political settlement to the crisis in Yemen. The perceptions of members varied from that that was based on the outcome of the National Dialogue Conference, meaning the state is comprised of federal units, where some revenues will be divided between the center and the regions, some others perceived the outcome of meeting based on the current situation (at time of the war, the negotiation period, and the transitional phase), while some others had preservations due to the blurring political scene, the failure to extend the armistice and the failure to call for political negotiations, in addition to the fact that Sana’a authority (Ansar Allah) has not been able to obtain their share of the revenues of the current resources. The meeting also would result in enhancing communication and contacts between members of SSG and their affiliated political parties and components considering the issues being discussed are of high caliber and the leaderships must be informed about their outcomes.

January 2023: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting on 15 and 19 January, 2023. The first day was allocated to discussing the SSG action plan for the year 2023 and the second day was dedicated to discussing the issue of sovereign national resources and the distribution of wealth in line with political and economic variables, where two experts attended the second day to shed some light on the issues of sovereign resources and revenues, mechanisms for distributing resources, and priorities for spending sovereign wealth revenues (salaries, infrastructure and operation expenses). The main aim was for the members to commence discussing and drafting their action plan for the year 2023. The main objectives include to listen to the views of two experts on the issues of sovereign resources and revenues, mechanisms for distributing resources, and priorities for spending from sovereign wealth revenues (salaries, infrastructure and operating expenses). Also, handed out to the SSG members a paper prepared by the consultant for PDSP, under the title (Ownership, Management and Sharing of Natural Resources (Oil and Minerals) “In light of the current situation in the Republic of Yemen and the future, August 2013″ for addition reference in order to assist SSG members develop common understanding about aspects pertaining to ways and means of distributing sovereign national resources, which is one of the three topics the members are expected to be working at the beginning of this year in addition to attempting to address the nature of political system and the form of the state topics. The main outcomes of the meeting include an action plan for the work of SSG during 2023, where the members have identified three main topics: the humanitarian and economic file; ceasefire; and the political solution. In the first, the humanitarian and economic file, the members suggested that it includes: analyze challenges and opportunities that may emerge during implementing an armistice agreement and to identify determinants of the mechanisms of success of negotiations in their difficult stages. Regarding ceasefire, for the members to determine guarantees of a transition from the armistice to a comprehensive ceasefire and foundation of a political solution. Regarding the third issue, the political solution, for the members to define what the form of the state is, what approach to adopt for sharing power and wealth, in addition to the need for national reconciliation and Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue as prerequisites. In addition, the SSG members have become more aware about the various aspects pertaining to the issue of sharing sovereign resources and ways and means of distributing the generated revenues

November, 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting on 16 October, 2022. The meeting was allocated for discussion of future prospects for the SSG and determine what activities are to be carried out by the SSG. The meeting was attended by Dr. Oliver Wils, the Berghof Head of MENA Department and Ms. Dalia Barsoum, the Berghof Head of Yemen Unit. The meeting was devoted also to discussing the reality of the political process, in addition to presenting and reviewing the activities of a number of youth components and projects implemented by the Political Development Forum (PDF) in cooperation with the Berghof Foundation (BF) in a number of cities targeted by the programme. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss future prospects regarding the work of the SSG. The November meeting represented an opportunity to inform the partner of PDF, the BF, represented by Mr. Dr. Oliver Wils and Ms. Dalia Barsoum, who were visiting Sana’a at the time of the meeting on the method of the meetings of the SSG and the topics that are discussed with the aim of evaluating the activities and meetings of the group for the past period and working on a future vision for the work of the SSG, which they constitute a comprehensive political group that is comprised of representatives of the various political spectrums, including political parties, youth and civil society. The meeting also represented an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities and projects of PDSP in a number of governorates targeted by the programme (Sana’a and Dhamar). In addition, the meeting resulted in defining the vision of the SSG to work during the coming period according to the transformations and anticipations of the political process where the SSG has determined three issues to be working on during the upcoming period. Moreover, the meeting resulted in determining three issues the SSG members will focus working on in the future meetings. The three issues are the form of the state, the political system and resources sharing. Also, the meeting represented an opportunity to learn about the suffering of political parties at home and to come up with a number of proposals as well as thinking about activities that support the path to overcome that

October, 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting during 19-20 October, 2022. The meeting was allocated for discussion of how to revive the outcomes of the national dialogue conference (NDC) and determine what activities are to be carried out by the SSG. This month’s meeting comes as a follow up to the previous two monthly meetings on the same subject. The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen. And in light of the political stalemate during the past period and the lack of prospects for any upcoming political moves, the PDSP perceives the importance of the continuation of the meetings of the SSG to discuss the outcomes of the NDC in an attempt to identify topics of interest for the SSG to discuss during the upcoming period, and in relation to the transitional phase, in general through how to benefit from the outcomes of the NDC in accordance with the variables and changes taking place during the past years (2012-2022), which will constitute an action plan for the meetings of the SSG during the upcoming months. In this regard, the PDSP commissioned Dr. Yasser Al-Huri, the Secretary of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a and a member of the SSG the task of summarizing how to benefit from the outcomes of the NDC through preparing a research paper. So, the main objective of the October meeting was to stand before a presentation of the research paper (Transformations of the National Dialogue Conference 2012 – 2022) in order to determine the areas of available benefits from the paper along with its discussion to enrich it, and for the SSG members to extract abstracts topics for the SSG meetings in upcoming months. Among the outcomes of the meeting, an action plan for the SSG to discuss, which includes defining topics and issues for two scenarios, one for Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue and another for Yemeni-regional and international dialogue. Also, this action plan contains a list of issues and topics for SSG members to elaborate on so that they would constitute the foundations for the inception of the above-mentioned dialogues. Also, for the SSG to take advantage of the issues that were summarized in the research paper for the work of the team during the upcoming period. In addition, work will be done on advocating the prepared research paper by the political parties to enrich it, as it includes issues and topics related to the transitional period, which would serve as a common ground for starting the process of dialogue and discussion between the active political parties in order to settle the political crisis in Yemen

August 17-18,2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting during 17-18 August, 2022. The meeting was allocated for discussion of how to revive the outcomes of the national dialogue conference (NDC), which comes as a follow up to the previous monthly meeting under the same title. The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen. The main objectives of the meeting were for the members to continue to discuss the means of reviving the outcomes of the NDC, especially previous meeting also came with the continuation of the armistice sponsored by the United Nations between the two parties of the conflict in Yemen after its renewal for a period of two months ending on 2 October, 2022. July, 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting during 27-28 July, 2022. The meeting was allocated for discussion of how to revive the outcomes of the national dialogue conference (NDC). The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen. The main objectives of the meeting were for the members to discuss the means of reviving the outcomes of the NDC, especially since the July SSG meeting also came with the continuation of the armistice sponsored by the United Nations between the two parties to the conflict in Yemen after its renewal for a period of two months ending on August 2, which in turn led to a decrease in the level of political action, and the outcomes of NDC are considered a reference to political agreements between the Yemeni parties, and therefore it is important to return to the NDC outcomes to evaluate them by the team in order to determine what is still valid even after several years of conflict to constitute grounds for the parties to consider as a basis to establish a Yemen-Yemeni dialogue to settle the crisis in Yemen despite changes on the ground, including war and fighting between Yemenis, both in the previous and subsequent periods. Among the outcomes of the meeting, at first, it was noticed that some components, specifically Ansar Allah were reluctant to return to discussing the outcomes of the NDC after more than seven years of hiatus and the war, especially after Ansar Allah group presented their own national vision for building the modern Yemeni state at the end of 2018, but after clarifying that the outcomes of the NDC are political agreements reached through consensus among many various political components, which tackle all aspects of building the modern state of Yemen and they must be addressed at one point, the discussion took place about them with caution, and the meeting resulted in proposals and ideas on how to discuss the NDC outcomes, and what issues will be addressed in the coming period with the aim of reviving these outcomes, and what issues are to be left for the main parties to the conflict to discuss them within the frame of a comprehensive political agreement

June 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting during 26-27 June, 2022. The meeting was allocated for discussion of and determining what practical steps there are that are required in order to reach a political settlement in Yemen. The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen. The main objectives of the meeting were to discuss and determine what practical steps are required in order to reach a political settlement in light of the armistice that has been renewed for two months until the 2nd of August, 2022 following the first two-month armistice that ended on 2nd of June 2022. The main outcomes of the meetings include determining specifically some practical steps towards reaching a political settlement, understanding that the wishes of the representatives of political parties in the SSG are to install the armistice with full obligation of the parties to the conflict towards the implementation of all items of the armistice, and the need for the conduct of a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue without tutelage or preconditions. But the most important outcome of the meeting was the consensus of SSG members on the need for the formation of a team of SSG members, in addition to representatives of political parties to prepare an initiative for a national reconciliation in Taiz to end the conflict there and set a model that would constitute the beginning for national reconciliation for the rest of the governorates of Yemen

May 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting during 25-26 May, 2022. The meeting was allocated for the discussion of the latest developments at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen, and what scenarios are expected to take place following the expiration of the current armistice, which ends on 2 June, 2022. The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to stand before the latest developments taking place during the month of May of relevance to the current armistice. In addition, the main objective of the SSG meeting was for the members to expect what scenarios are emerging following the expiring date of the current armistice, namely if the armistice is to be extended for another four months or what will happen if the armistice would not be renewed at all. The main outcomes of the meetings include: An analysis on the latest development at the local, regional and international levels pertaining to Yemen in relation to the current armistice. Also, coming out of the meeting are potential scenarios for what will happen after the expiration of the current armistice. Among other things, the members highlighted some of the trends indicating the possibility of extending the armistice; what did the armistice achieve and what did not achieve? Trends indicating the possibility of not extending the truce; consequences of the failure of the armistice and not extending it; suggestions that help extend the armistice and its success on the various, humanitarian, military and security aspects

April, 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the SSG monthly meeting for April on 11 and 21 April, 2022. The two days of the meeting were allocated for discussion of approached to a political solution in line with recent developments as well as with the outcomes of the SSG from March meeting on common aspects and denominators to secure and neutralize the international legitimacy of the Yemeni State. Also, for the discussion of latest developments at the local, regional and international arenas pertaining to Yemen as well as determining common and different aspects, from the perspective of SSG members towards the outcome of Riyadh Conference, the initiative of the Chief of Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, and the UN-sponsored two-month armistice. The main aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to present the stances of their political parties and components regarding the outcome of the SSG from March meeting on preparations for a political solution starting with protecting and neutralizing the international legitimacy of the state of Yemen, and what are the most important aspects and commonalities that would make of such protecting measures safe and applicable? The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to determine the common and different factors in the outcomes of Riyadh Conference, the three-day ceasefire initiative announced by the Chief of Sana’a Supreme Political Council, and the two-month UN-sponsored armistice. The main outcomes include: The SSG members utilized all possible means of communication with their party leadership in order to convey to them the outcome of SSG March meeting regarding their perceptions on preparations for a political settlement, in order to obtain their feedback, despite the differences in communication between one party and another; Also, the great interaction of the political parties and components with the SSG members regarding the outcome of the SSG March meeting as reflected by partisan members of SSG during the second day meeting; All political parties and components submitted their observations to the SSG outcome, with the exception of Islah Party, which did not respond for the obvious reasons, while the Al-Haqq Party and the Union of Popular Forces supported what the Ansar Allah component had presented considering they are part of Sana’a alliance. Between the first and second day of the meeting, the SSG members were assigned to contact their party leaderships for their feedback on the outcome of the SSG from March meeting

Feb-March, 2022: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized two meetings for the SSG in March, 2022. The first meeting was organized during 2-3 March as a compensation meeting for the month of February and the second meeting constituted the monthly meeting for the month of March, which was held during 8-9 March, 2022. Both meetings were allocated for the discussion of latest developments at the local, regional and international arenas pertaining to Yemen. The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to commence discussing and determining what common aspects and denominators there are that would secure and neutralize an international legitimacy of the Yemeni state? The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss how to protect and neutralize the international legitimacy of the Yemeni State, and what are the most important aspects and commonalities that would make of such protecting measures safe and applicable? The main outputs of the meetings were as follows: Determining the general objective of the importance of the international legitimacy of the Yemeni state, which is “alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people by neutralizing the economic, humanitarian and social files leading up to reaching the political process”; Agreeing on the common aspects of international legitimacy and defining their objectives; Agreeing to reformulate the approach in a way that would serve first the human aspects of the issue by absorbing and incorporating the observations raised by the members earlier during the first round meeting

The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the period 12-13 January, 2022. The meeting was allocated for a training workshop on how to draw public policies for political parties for the partisan members of SSG and the other civil society and independent members. The main aims of the training workshop were: Enabling the members to formulate general policies of political parties from the perspective of the political party; Providing the members with cognitive and methodological information about the implementation of public policies from the party’s perspective; Providing the members with cognitive and methodological information on evaluating public policies from a partisan perspective; Enabling the members to possess basic skills for drawing, implementing and evaluating public policies; Develop positive attitudes for the members in the field of designing and implementing public policies. The main outcomes of the workshop include that the SSG members have become familiar with concept of public policies for political parties and are now more capable of drawing public policies from a partisan perspective, therefore, the SSG members possess now the basic skills to draw public policies. Also, the workshop constituted a leap for the members towards positive development for the group in drawing and seeking the implementation of general public policies

December 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the period December 29-30, 2021. The first day was designated as an introduction to a training workshop on the general public policies of political parties. The second day was devoted to the process of evaluating the work of the SSG in 2021, and to draft the SSG’s work plan 2022. The aim of the meeting was to enhance the capabilities and skills of the SSG members in the field of public policies for political parties. So, the main objective was to hold a general discussion on partisan general policies and what the SSG members’ vision on this subject is, with the aim of enabling the trainer to measure the members’ level of knowledge and background on this subject. The main outcome was defining aspects and concepts related to building and developing general public policies of political parties and identifying the strengths and weaknesses that the SSG faced in the past year, as well as identifying opportunities and threats that can be exploited and trying to overcome, respectively, during the SSG’s work in 2022. The inclusion of additional members representing some political parties were added to participate in the first day of the meeting (Ansar Allah, Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah), Nasserist People’s Unionist Organization and Yemeni Socialist Party), who will also participate in the workshop in January 2022, first so that the benefit of the training on public policies is extended to a larger number of political party representatives, and secondly, through the new participants, the SSG will be promoted and marketed as a nucleus team that can represent a table for dialogue to convene on issues of concern of relevance to stopping the war and returning to the negotiating political process

اكتوبر – نوفمبر 2021: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي اجتماعين متتاليين لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال شهر نوفمبر ٢٠٢١ (٣-٤ و ١٠-١١ نوفمبر) . وشكل الاجتماعان الاجتماع الشهري لـ أكتوبر ونوفمبر. وحضر الاجتماع الأول ممثلان من مكتب المبعوث الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن في صنعاء. كان الهدف الرئيسي للاجتماع الأول هو أن يحدد الفريق ما هي الأولويات الاقتصادية الفورية وخيارات المسار الاقتصادي ، في حالة وقف إطلاق النار الشامل ورفع الحصار المفروض على اليمن أو التوصل إلى تفاهمات واتفاق سياسي بين الطرفين أطراف الصراع (اليمني – اليمني) ، أو استمرار الوضع الراهن. وكان الهدف الرئيسي للاجتماع الثاني هو تلخيص نتائج الاجتماع السابق حول الأولويات العاجلة في المسار الاقتصادي وتحديد تصور أعضاء الفريق حول الأولويات الاقتصادية الفورية وخيارات المسار الاقتصادي. كانت الأهداف الرئيسية لكلا الاجتماعين هي أن يناقش أعضاء الفريق آخر التطورات على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي والدولي المتعلقة باليمن ، ولا سيما القتال في مأرب وزيارة مبعوث الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن ، هانز جروندبرغ إلى تعز و تأثيرها على عملية السلام ، والاستماع إلى خبير اقتصادي استضافه البرنامج حول الأولويات الاقتصادية العاجلة وإلقاء بعض الضوء على الخيارات المحتملة للمسار الاقتصادي. وتضمنت النتائج الرئيسية للاجتماع تصورات الأعضاء ورائهم بشأن القتال في مأرب وما سيحدث بعد مأرب وما يجري في تعز وعدن من إعادة انتشار عسكري لقوات التحالف، وكانت النتيجة الرئيسية هي تصور ووجهات نظر أعضاء الفريق حول الأولويات الاقتصادية العاجلة وخيارات المسار الاقتصادي

October- November 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Prorgamme (PDSP) organized two consecutive meetings for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the month of November, 2021. The two meetings constituted the monthly meeting for October and November, 2021, 3-4 November and 10-11 November 2021, respectively. The first meeting was attended by two representatives of the office of the UN SG special envoy to Yemen in Sana’a (OSESGY). The main aim of the first meeting was for the SSG to determine what immediate economic priorities and options for the economic path are, in the event of a comprehensive ceasefire and the lifting of siege imposed on Yemen or reaching understandings and a political agreement between the two parties to the conflict (Yemeni-Yemeni), or the continuation of the status quo. The main aim of the second meeting was to summarize the conclusions of the previous meeting on the urgent priorities in the economic track and to define the perception of the members of the SSG on the immediate economic priorities and the options for the economic track. The main objectives of both meetings were for the SSG members to discuss the latest developments at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen, in particular the fighting in Marib and the visit of the UN SG envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg to Taiz and their impacts on the peace process, and to listen to an economic expert hosted by PDSP to the first meeting on what the urgent economic priorities are and to shed some light on potential options for economic track. The main outcomes of the meeting included the perceptions and insights of the members on the fighting over Marib and what will happen after Marib as well as on what is taking place in Taiz and Aden of military redeployment of pro coalition forces. Another main outcome of the meeting is perception and the perspectives of the SSG members to what the urgent economic priorities and the options for the economic track are

سبتمبر ٢٠٢١ : نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة من ١٩-٢٠ سبتمبر ٢٠٢١ في قاعة اجتماعات البرنامج في صنعاء. وضم الاجتماع ممثلين عن مختلف الأحزاب والمكونات السياسية والمستقلين والشباب والمرأة. حضر الاجتماع ممثلان عن مكتب المبعوث الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن في صنعاء، وكان الهدف الرئيسي للاجتماع أن يعمل أعضاء الفريق على السيناريوهات السياسية بما يتماشى مع الإحاطة الأولى للمبعوث إلى اليمن ، هانز جروندبرج، إلى جانب التصعيد العسكري في محافظة مأرب كمفترق طرق بين مسارى الحرب والسلام. كما يهدف الاجتماع إلى مناقشة آخر المستجدات السياسية والعسكرية على المستويات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية المتعلقة باليمن. وأهم مخرجات الاجتماع حسب تصور الأعضاء أن الإحاطة الأولى للمبعوث الأممي في مجلس الأمن لم تتضمن شيئاً جديداً بل كانت مخيبة لآمال وتطلعات المكونات السياسية في صنعاء. وتوقع الأعضاء ثلاثة سيناريوهات تلوح في الأفق ، أولها: استمرار المعارك على الجبهات ، خاصة في محافظة مأرب. السيناريو الثاني هو الانتصار الحاسم في القتال في مأرب لصالح صنعاء والسيناريو الثالث وقف الأعمال العدائية العسكرية والدعوة إلى مفاوضات سياسية

September, 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting during 19-20 September, 2021 at PDF PDSP meeting Hall in Sana’a. The meeting included representatives of the various political parties and components, independents, youth and woman. The meeting was attended by two representatives of the office of the UN SG special envoy to Yemen in Sana’a (OSESGY).The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to work on political scenarios in line with the briefing statement of the UNSG’s envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg and the military escalations in Marib governorate as a crossroads between the two tracks of war and peace. In addition, the meeting aimed at discussing the latest political and military developments at the local, regional and international levels pertaining to Yemen. The main outcomes of the meeting according to the perception of the members, the first briefing of the UN envoy at the Security Council did not contain anything new but rather it was disappointing to the aspirations of the political components in Sana’a. The members predicted three scenarios to be looming in the horizon, the first: the continuation of the battles on the fronts, especially in Marib governorate; the second scenario is the decisive win of the fighting in Marib in favor of the Sana’a party; the third scenario is the cessation of military hostilities and the call for political negotiations

August, 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during 10-11 August, 2021 at PDF PDSP meeting Hall in Sana’a. The meeting was attended by two representatives of the office of the UN SG special envoy to Yemen in Sana’a (OSESGY). The main aim of the meeting was to reach a general framework for a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Yemen, away from partitioning the issues and the main objectives of the meeting were for the SSG members to stand before the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen, and to discuss what determinants of the entrance to negotiations and a political settlement between the Yemeni parties in light of the new appointed special envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg

يوليو ٢٠٢١: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لمجموعة الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة من ٢٩ – ٣٠ يوليو ٢٠٢١ في قاعة اجتماعات البرنامج في صنعاء. تم تنظيم الاجتماع مباشرة بعد أربعة اجتماعات شهرية عقدت عبر برنامج زووم كإجراء احترازي بسبب انتشار جائحة كورونا. حضر اجتماع هذا الشهر ممثلان عن مكتب المبعوث الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن في صنعاء . وكان الهدف الرئيسي للاجتماع أن يناقش أعضاء الفريق عن نهج ومدخل لتسوية سياسية بين الأحزاب والمكونات السياسية اليمنية ، وأن يصبحوا أكثر دراية بآخر التطورات في الاتفاقات المتعلقة بناقلة النفط صافر من خلال استضافة رئيس اللجنة الإشرافية لتنفيذ الاتفاقية إبراهيم السراجي ومناقشة قضايا الأجندة بشفافية وتحديد المعوقات الأيديولوجية والفكرية والسياسية التي يواجهها كل حزب سياسي ، ومعرفة بعض المعوقات التي تحول دون دخول الأحزاب السياسية اليمنية في حوارات واتفاقات وعمليات المفاوضات بينهما

July, 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during 29-30 July, 2021 at PDF PDSP meeting Hall in Sana’a. The meeting was organized directly after four monthly meetings held through the Zoom program as a precautionary measure due to the spread of the Corona pandemic. This month’s meeting was attended by two representatives of the office of the UN SG special envoy to Yemen in Sana’a (OSESGY). The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss the group’s search for an approach and an entrance to a political settlement between Yemeni political parties and components, and to closely become more familiar with the latest developments in the agreements related to the Oil floating Tanker SAFER by hosting the Chief of the supervisory committee for the implementation of the agreement. The main outcomes of the meeting were: Hosting Ibrahim Al-Serajy, Chief of the Supervisory Committee for the Implementation of the Urgent Maintenance Agreement and the Comprehensive Evaluation of the Floating Tank “Safer”, and discussed the issues of the agenda in a transparent manner and mentioning the ideological, intellectual and political obstacles that each political party is facing, and knowing some of the obstacles and impediments to Yemeni political parties in entering dialogues, agreements and negotiations processes between them

June 2021: PDSP organized the Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting during 23-24 June, 2021 via ZOOM platform as part of the precautionary measures taken by the Political Dialogue Support Programme in implementing activities in the cities in which the Programme operates during Corona pandemic. This month’s meeting was attended by a representative of the office of the UN SG special envoy to Yemen in Sana’a. The main objective of the meeting was for the SSG members to discuss challenges and opportunities facing the conflicting political parties in order to achieve peace and to come up with solutions and suggestions in light of the recent political developments including the recent visit of an Omani delegation to Sana’a, which held a number of meetings with key stakeholders in Sana’a, including with Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, and representatives of political parties and prominent social figures and personalities. The recent developments include also the visit of the UN envoy to Yemen to Sana’a last May and his briefing to the Security Council on June 15, 2021. In addition, the meeting was allocated to discussing the latest development at the local, regional and international levels pertaining to Yemen, such as the war in Marib, printing 400 billion of local YR currency without cover by the government in Aden, fighting at Yemeni-Saudi borders, the presidential elections in Iran, and the US and UK occupation of Islands in Yemen

May 31, 2021: The PDSP organized a meeting for the members of the SSG with the UNSG Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths. The objective of the meeting: The main objective of the meeting was to constitute an opportunity for the special envoy, Martin Griffiths to listen to the views of the representatives of the political parties and components with the SSG regarding the upcoming political process, and their perspectives regarding the humanitarian aspect of the crisis in Yemen, and how to implement the procedures of the humanitarian file in the event that the siege imposed on Yemen by the Arab Coalition is lifted, and to gauge to what extent Yemeni political parties are ready for that

May 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) from 19 to 20 May, 2021 through ZOOM application. The aim of the meeting was for the SSG members to explore possible scenarios in the event of changing the current envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, Martin Griffiths, and appointing his replacement from a list of names of candidates, and the meeting aimed also to stand before the latest developments at the local, regional and international levels related to Yemen including the briefing of the US envoy to Yemen, and Lisa Grande’s briefing on the humanitarian situation at the United Nations on April 21, 2021. The SSG members also discussed the situation in Palestine

ابريل 2021: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة من 11 إلى 12 أبريل 2021 عبر تطبيق زووم. وكان الهدف من الاجتماع الوقوف أمام آخر المستجدات على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي والدولي المتعلقة باليمن ، وكذلك الاطلاع على أحدث مبادرتين لإنهاء الأزمة في اليمن ، المبادرة السعودية الصادرة في 21 مارس 2021 م و مبادرة المجلس السياسي الأعلى بصنعاء الصادرة في أبريل 2020 من أجل تحديد ما لم يرد في المبادرتين لتصبحان أكثر قبولاً من الجانبين

April 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during 11-12 April, 2021 via ZOOM Application. The aim of the meeting was to stand before the latest developments at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen as well as to examine the two most recent initiatives to end the crisis in Yemen, the Saudi initiative issued on 21 March, 2021 as the initiative of the supreme political council in Sana’a issued in April 2020 in order to determine what not stated in the two initiatives to become more acceptable for considerations from the two sides

مارس٦-٧، ٢٠٢١ : نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي في صنعاء خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 7 مارس 2021 في قاعة اجتماعات البرنامج. وكان الهدف الرئيسي من الاجتماع الوقوف أمام آخر المستجدات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية على المستويات السياسية والأمنية والعسكرية المتعلقة باليمن بما في ذلك القتال في محافظة مأرب ، وكذلك مناقشة الجولة الأخيرة من المفاوضات بشأن ملف الأسرى ، الذي عقد في عمان ، الأردن بداية هذا العام ، من خلال الاستماع إلى أعضاء من “هيئة التفاوض” من طرفي النزاع ، والتي عقدت برعاية الأمم المتحدة ، والأهم لماذا نجحت جولة المفاوضات التي عقدت في أكتوبر 2020 في تبادل 1065 أسير حرب من الجانبين ، والأسباب وراء ليس فقط حول فشل الجولة الأخيرة من المفاوضات حول أسرى الحرب التي عقدت في فبراير 2021 ، بل وإلى أسباب تعقيد ملف تبادل أسرى الحرب بين الطرفين

March 6-7, 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) in Sana’a during 6-7 March, 2021 at PDSP Meeting Hall. The main aim of the meeting was to stand before the latest local, regional and international developments at the political, security and military levels pertaining to Yemen including the fighting on the ground in the governorate of Marib, as well as to discuss the latest round of negotiation on the POWs ’file, held in Amman, Jordan beginning of this year, by listening to members of the“ Negotiating Committee ”from the two parties to the conflicting, which was held under the auspices of the United Nations, and most importantly why the round of negotiations held in October 2020 succeeded in the swap of 1,065 POWs of both sides, and the reasons behind not only the failure of the latest round of negotiations on POWs held in February, 2021, but also complicating the issue of the swap of POWs between the two parties

February 2021: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group in Sana’a during the period 20-21 February at PDSP meeting hall. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the current developments at the local, regional and international arena and their impact on the peace process, including the war and the ongoing fighting in Marib Governorate, as well as to address the outcome of the war with regard to Yemeni unity and political pluralism and foreseeing the future through a brainstorming session and then creating small groups to come up with insights about that

فبراير ٢٠٢١: عقد اجتماع مجموعة الدعم الاستراتيجي الشهري في صنعاء خلال 24 و 26 يناير 2021 في قاعة اجتماعات برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي. وكانت الأهداف الرئيسية للاجتماع الوقوف أمام آخر التطورات على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي والدولي المتعلقة باليمن ، ومناقشة تأثير قرار وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية تصنيف أنصار الله جماعة إرهابية على عملية السلام في اليمن. وكذلك تداعيات القرار على جوانب أخرى تتعلق باليمن مثل الجانب الإنساني. كما كان الهدف من الاجتماع مناقشة الجهود المبذولة لفتح الطرق وتخفيف حدة التوتر والاقتتال على جبهات المواجهات المسلحة المختلفة.

January 2021: The Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting was held in Sana’a during 24 & 26 January, 2021 at PDSP Meeting Hall. The main aims of the meeting were to stand before the latest development at the local, regional and international level pertaining to Yemen, and to discuss the impact of the US State Department decision to designate Ansar Allah as a terrorist group on the peace process in Yemen as well as the consequences of the decision on other aspects pertaining to Yemen, such as the humanitarian aspect. ِAlso, the objective of the meeting was to discuss efforts being made in order to open roads and ease tension and fighting at the various armed confrontations fronts

The main aim of the meeting was to permit the SSG members evaluate their activities during the year 2020 through SOWT analysis and to commence developing their action plan for the year 2021. The main objectives of the meeting were to stand before the recent developments on the local, regional and international arena related to Yemen, to gauge how the political parties and components of the SSG perceive PDSP, and through SWOT analysis to determine the work of the members in terms of their points of strengths and accompanied weaknesses in 2020 and what opportunities and challenges there are that they may face in their work in 2021

November 2020: PDSP organized the SSG monthly meeting for November during the period 9-10 November. The aim of the meeting was to assist the SSG members create a hypothetical strategic plan for the political alliances to be comprised of the strategic support components in order to benefit from the training workshop to build the SSG’s capabilities in strategic planning that took place during the SSG monthly meeting for October, 2020, and to benefit of the outcomes produced by the parties that make up the SSG group

أكتوبر 2020: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة من 13 إلى 15 أكتوبر. وتضمن الاجتماع لهذا الشهر دورة تدريبية للأعضاء حول البناء الاستراتيجي للتحالفات السياسية. تضمن التدريب: مفاهيم عامة؛ حول التخطيط الاستراتيجي وحول التحالف السياسي (الائتلاف) ؛ بيئة العمل السياسي وأثرها على نطاق بناء التحالفات السياسية. تطوير استراتيجية الائتلاف (كيف يطور الحزب إستراتيجية التحالف الخاصة به) ؛ التفاوض على تشكيل التحالف (الائتلاف) ؛ نقطة البداية (تطوير استراتيجية التحالف المشترك والمنهج) ؛ العمل داخل التحالف (الائتلاف) و ؛ تقييم العمل والدروس المستفادة. كان الهدف من الاجتماع هو البناء على قدرات أعضاء المكونات السياسية لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي على وضع استراتيجية بناء تحالفات سياسية بين مختلف المكونات السياسية سواء كانت لها رؤى سياسية متوافقة أو مختلفة نحو الوصول إلى تحقيق أهداف سياسية مشتركة، وتأثيرها السياسي والمجتمعي ، و مدى أهميتها للمراحل الفورية واللاحقة

October, 2020: PDSP organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during 13-15 October. The meeting for this month consisted of a training course for the members on Strategic Building for Political Alliances. The training included: general concepts; about strategic planning and about the political alliance (coalition); the political work environment and its impact on the scope of building political alliances; developing the coalition strategy (how does the party develop its own coalition strategy); negotiating the formation of the coalition (alliance); the starting point (developing the joint alliance strategy and the approach); work within the coalition (alliance) and; evaluating work and drawing lessons. The aim of the meeting was to build on the capabilities of the members of the political components of the SSG on the strategy of building political alliances between the various political components whether they have compatible or different political visions towards reaching common political objectives, their political and societal influence, and the extent of their importance of the immediate and subsequent stages

سبتمبر، 2020: عُقد الاجتماع الشهري لفر يق الدعم الاستراتيجي في صنعاء خلال الفترة ١٦-١٧ سبتمبر 2020 في قاعة اجتماعات البرنامج. تم تخصيص الاجتماع لمناقشة آخر المستجدات على المستويات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية بما فيها إحاطة المبعوث الخاص للأمين العام للامم المتحدة في مجلس الأمن وانعكاساتها على العملية السياسية في اليمن. كما تم تخصيص الاجتماع لبدء عملية مناقشة القضايا التي يمكن للفريق مناقشتها والعمل بشأنها خلال الفترة القادمة من خلال تقديم الرؤى والمشورة حولها

September, 2020: The monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group was held in Sana’a during the period 16-17 September 2020 in the Programme’s meeting room. The meeting was devoted to discussing the latest developments at the local, regional and international levels, including the briefing of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the Security Council and their implications and impacts on the political process in Yemen. The meeting was also allotted for the members to start the process of discussing issues that the group can discuss and work on during the upcoming period by providing visions and advice about them

August 19-20, 2020: The Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting was held in Sana’a during the period 19-20 August, 2020 at PDSP Meeting Hall. The meeting held on 19-20 August was allocated for the discussion of the draft vision of the SSG on the political process reached during previous monthly meetings in order to discuss and complete it and agreeing on it based on the visions of the components of the SSG about that. In addition, the meeting provided the members with an opportunity to discuss the latest developments at the local, regional and international levels and their impact on the political process in Yemen. Then, initial ideas were discussed to change the course of the SSG’s work in light of the slow pace of the political negotiations towards settling the crisis in Yemen and the cessation of the war to the internal affairs of the political track at the local level, mainly to learn about what is the SSG’s perception about providing the Supreme Political Council (Ansar Allah’s control areas) with ideas that contribute to supporting the Council in the political affairs in the first place

٢٢-٢٣ يوليو٢٠٢٠ : عُقد الاجتماع الشهري لمجموعة الدعم الاستراتيجي في صنعاء في مقر برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي. هذا هو الاجتماع الأول الذي يعقد في قاعة اجتماعات البرنامج بعد اجتماعين شهريين تم عقدهما من قبل أعضاء الفريق عبر مجموعات في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي على الواتساب تم إنشاؤها من قبل البرنامج واجتماع شهري عبر تطبيق زووم كإجراءات احترازية بسبب انتشار فيروس كورونا
كما كان الهدف من اجتماع يوليو هو الوصول إلى رؤية توافقية حول العملية السياسية بناءً على رؤاهم الخاصة للعملية السياسية التي تم صياغتها من قبل كل مكون سياسي خلال اجتماعاتهم الشهرية السابقة وكذلك أي تطورات تتعلق بفيروس كورونا وامكانية احتوائه، وبحيث تستوعب رؤيتهم التوافقية المستجدات على الساحات المحلية والعربية والدولية من وجهة نظر أعضاء المكونات السياسية في الفريق

July 22-23, 2020: The Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting was held in Sana’a during the period 22-23 July, 2020 at PDSP premises. This is the first meeting held at PDSP Meeting Hall after two remote monthly meetings and one monthly meeting via Zoom Application as precautionary measures due to the spread of Covid-19. The aim of the July meeting was to reach a consensual product on the political process based on their own vision on the political process each of the political component had drafted during the previous meeting as well as any developments pertaining to Covid-19 and its containment, and where their consensual vision accommodates developments on the local, Arab and international levels from the point of view members of the political components in the SSG

١٧-١٨ يونيو ٢٠٢٠: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي لعرض ومشاركة رؤى المكونات السياسية المختلفة حول الفرص والتحديات ومسار العملية السياسية في اليمن في ظل التطورات المحلية والدولية. ولهذا الاجتماع ، تمت دعوة أعضاء الفريق عبر رابط تسجيل الدخول على حساب على الإنترنت للبرنامج
كان الهدف من الاجتماع هو عرض وتبادل رؤى المكونات حول العملية السياسية نحو حل سلمي شامل للأزمة اليمنية والتي تمت صياغتها وإعدادها من قبل أعضاء الأحزاب السياسية والمستقلين كمهمة عن بعد لمكونات الفريق لشهرأبريل 2020 ، وكذلك لتسليط الضوء على التطورات الأخيرة لفيروس كرونا وآثاره على مسار عملية السلام. كما تم مناقشة الأفكار التي يجب أخذها في الاعتبار وتبنيها من قبل طرفي النزاع على خطوط التماس من أجل الحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا بين المحافظات
كما عقد خلال هذه الشهر اجتماعات منفصلة لكل مكون سياسي في الفريق وذلك لتحديد نقاط الاتفاق والاختلاف بين رؤية كل مكون مع بقية الرؤى الأخرى

June 17-18, 2020: The Political Development Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during 17-18 June to present and share the visions of the various political components on opportunities and challenges of the political process track in Yemen in light of local and international developments. For this meeting, the SSG members were invited via a login link from an account on the Internet for PDSP, which is being implemented by the Political Development Forum in partnership with the Berghof Foundation at PDF Headquarters in Sana’a. This virtual meeting was attended by the representatives of the various political parties, independents, youth and women within the SSG
The aim of the meeting was to present and share the components’ insights on the political process towards a comprehensive peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis, which were drafted and prepared by members of political parties and independents as home assignment for the SSG components for the month of April 2020, as well as to highlight recent developments of Covid-19 and its effects to the peace process track. The meeting also aimed at discussing ideas to be taken into consideration and adopted by the two parties to the conflict at seamlines in order to reduce the spread of Covid-19 virus between inter-provinces.

During this month, separate meetings were held for each political component in the SSG in order to identify points of agreement and difference between the vision of each component with the rest of the other visions

أبريل 2020: نظرًا لانتشار جائحة الفيروس التاجي ، قرر برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي أن يكون الاجتماع الشهري لفريق في أبريل 2020 بمثابة اجتماع عن بُعد. اشتمل الاجتماع على تكليف أعضاء كل حزب ومكون سياسي والأعضاء المستقلين بالعمل على تطوير رؤية حزبهم لمسار العملية السياسية في ظل انتشار الفيروس وآخر المستجدات المحلية والدولية ، وتأثيرها على إنهاء الحرب في اليمن والعودة إلى العملية السياسية السلمية ، وتقديم رؤيتهم إلى خطة العمل إلى البرنامج قبل نهاية أبريل 2020

April 2020: Due to the spread of Coronavirus pandemic, the Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) decided that the SSG monthly meeting for April 2020 would be a remote meeting. The meeting was comprised of an assignment for SSG members of every political party and component and the independent members to work on developing their party’s vision about the path of the political process in light of the spread of the virus and the most recent local and international developments, and their impact on ending the war in Yemen and returning to peaceful political process, and to present their vision to PDSP before the end of April 2020

مارس 2020: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لمارس لـفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال ثلاثة اسابيع من الشهر بالعمل عن بعد. وتم تكليف أعضاء الفريق لعكس ورشة العمل التدريبية التي تلقوها في تم تكليف أعضاء فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي لعكس ورشة العمل التدريبية التي تلقوها في فبراير حول صياغة وتحليل اوراق السياسة والبدء بصياغة ورق سياسة حول أي موضوع ترى المكونات داخل الفريق أنها مهمة وعاجلة وذات احتياج وصياغة سياسة ورقة حول ذلك بحيث يمكن مشاركتها مع صناع القرار أو لأخذها في الاعتبار من قبل الحكومة اليمنية والسلطات ذات الصلة ، خاصة في هذه المرحلة من الظروف الإنسانية والاقتصادية الرهيبة التي يواجهها معظم المواطنين اليوم ، نتيجة لاستمرار الحرب و القتال بين اليمنيين أنفسهم بالإضافة إلى فيروس كرونا

March 2020; The SSG members were assigned to reflect on the training workshop they had received in February and to commit to drafting a policy paper on any topic the affiliates of every political component within SSG perceive to be important, urgent and is of a merit to draft a policy paper on so that it could be shared with decision makers or to be taken into consideration by the Yemeni government and relevant authorities, especially at this juncture of dire humanitarian and economic situations most citizens are facing today, as a result of the continuation of war and the fighting among the Yemenis, themselves, in addition to Covid_19 virus

February 2020: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the days 12, 13, 16, and 17 February. The main objective of the meeting was to train the SSG members on how to develop policy papers with the aim of enabling the members to transform the working papers they produce from their monthly regular meetings on the various political, economic, security, and military controversial issues to policy papers, which will be conveyed and communicated to decision-makers in a manner that will help reach compromise solutions and a comprehensive political settlement to the crisis in Yemen

30-31 ديسمبر 2019: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لـفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة من 30 إلى 31 ديسمبر. وكان الهدف الرئيسي للاجتماع الوقوف أمام آخر التطورات السياسية والأمنية المحلية والإقليمية والدولية المتعلقة باليمن. كما كانت الأهداف والغايات الرئيسية من الاجتماع هي الحصول على وجهات نظر الأعضاء الحزبيين بشأن مكون جديد سيعقد خلال عام 2020 ، والذي يتكون من تنظيم عدة اجتماعات لمجموعة من الشباب الحزبيين من كلا الجنسين. بعد ذلك تم تخصيص جلسة نقاش وإجراء تحليل وتقييم حول عمل فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال عام 2019 ، وأخيراً وليس آخراً للبدء في صياغة خطة عمل لـفريق الدعم للعام 2020

December 30-31, 2019: PDSP organized the SSG monthly meeting during the period 30-31 of December. The main aim of the meeting was to stand before the latest local, regional and international political and security development pertaining to Yemen. The main goals and objectives of the meeting were to obtain the feedback of partisan members on a new component to take place during 2020, which is comprised of organizing several meetings for partisan youth members of both genders, and to conduct SWOT analysis regarding the work of the SSG during the year 2019, and last but not least to commence drafting an action plan for the SSG for the year 2020

November 20-21, 2019: PDSP organized the SSG monthly meeting during the period 20-21 of November. The main aim of the meeting was to complete the vision of the SSG on how to support the National Reconciliation Team among all Yemeni political parties and components at home and abroad at the political level, following the merging of the two outcomes of the SSG members from October meeting in one product. The main goal of the meeting was to stand before the latest political and security developments at the local, regional and international levels pertaining to Yemen. Other objectives include to continue working on the combined outcome of the SSG regarding national reconciliation between political parties on the issues connected with the political system to achieve a settlement and sustainable national reconciliation in order to finalize it so that it constitutes the vision of the SSG members on applying and implementing the national reconciliation. In addition, the meeting aimed at briefing the SSG members about the eminent meetings held abroad in recent months, which were organized by Berghof Foundation.

PDSP organized the monthly meeting for the SSG during the period 20-21 October 2019. The main aim of the meeting was to continue working on reaching a vision by the SSG members on the national reconciliation initiative to take place between all Yemeni political parties and components at home and abroad at the political level, especially after the national reconciliation committee has divided the aspects of the reconciliation to be implemented to political, social, and military tracks

نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي اجتماعه الشهري خلال الفترة ٢٩-٣٠ سبتمبر ٢٠١٩. وكان الهدف من الاجتماع هو أن يقف أعضاء الفريق أمام آخر التطورات السياسية والعسكرية المتعلقة باليمن ، لإطلاع الأعضاء على آخر اجتماع بارز عقد خلال الفترة من 31 أغسطس – 2 سبتمبر في برلين ، والذي تم تخصيصه لمناقشة الخيارات للسياسات المالية لتعزيز العلاقة بين السلطة المحلية والمركزية ، وشاركت فيها شخصيات يمنية بارزة تقيم حاليا في الخارج. كما تم خلال اللقاء مناقشة آفاق العملية السياسية في اليمن في ضوء التطورات السياسية الأخيرة والأحداث العسكرية ، والمبادرة اللاحقة لرئيس المجلس السياسي الأعلى في صنعاء لوقف استهداف السعودية بالطائرات بدون طيار و الصواريخ ، في أعقاب الاستهداف الأخير لحقول أرامكو النفطية داخل الأراضي السعودية. كانت هذه المبادرة موجهة إلى دول التحالف العربي لوقف الحرب في اليمن وإتاحة الفرصة للحوار في اتجاه حل الأزمة السياسية في اليمن سلميا. كما يهدف الاجتماع إلى مناقشة تأثير قرار المجلس السياسي الأعلى بتشكيل لجنة مصالحة وطنية للحوار بين جميع الأحزاب اليمنية والمكونات السياسية في الداخل والخارج وتشكيل لجان فرعية في المحافظات. وتأتي المصالحة الوطنية ضمن الرؤية الوطنية الشاملة للدولة اليمنية الحديثة 2019-2030 ، التي أطلقتها حكومة صنعاء في وقت سابق من هذا العام. ولتوضيح آفاق المصالحة الوطنية من وجهات نظر أنصار الله ، تم استضافة السيد فضل أبو طالب ، الأمين العام للمكتب السياسي لأنصار الله وعضو لجنة المصالحة الوطنية لإطلاع الفريق حول هذا الموضوع

PDSP organized the monthly meeting for the SSG during the period 29-30 September. The aim of the meeting was for the members to stand before the latest political and military developments pertaining to Yemen, to brief the members about the latest eminent meeting held during 31 August – 2 September in Berlin, which was dedicated to the discussion of options for financial policies to enhance relationship between the local and central authority, participated by prominent Yemeni personalities currently residing abroad. Also, the meeting was to discuss the prospects of the political process in Yemen in light of the recent political developments and military events, and the subsequent initiative of the President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a to stop targeting Saudi Arabia by drones and missiles, following the recent targeting of Aramco oilfields inside Saudi Arabia territory. This initiative was directed at the Arab coalition countries to stop the war in Yemen and provide an opportunity for dialogue towards the path of resolving the political crisis in Yemen peacefully. The meeting also aimed at discussing the impact of the decision of the Supreme Political Council to form a national reconciliation committee for dialogue between all Yemeni parties and political components at home and abroad and to form sub-committees in the provinces. The national reconciliation comes within the overall national vision for the state Modern Yemeni 2019-2030, launched by the de facto authority in Sana’a earlier this year. And in order to clarify the prospects of the national reconciliation from the points of views of Ansar Allah, Mr. Fadhl Abu Talib, the Secretary-General of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah and a member of the national reconciliation committee was hosted to brief the SSG members about it

July, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the Strategic Support Group (SSG) monthly meeting for July 2019 through organizing a series of two separate meetings, one for each group of the SSG. The two series were held during the periods 09-11 and 16-18 July, at PDSP Meeting Hall in Sana’a. The aim of each of the two three-day-meeting was to complete the work on the roadmap for a comprehensive political process for the two groups of the SSG, which includes elaborating on the main headlines, adding more details and incorporating members’ remarks from their previous meetings, timing of the three tracks of the roadmap and their implementation mechanisms. In addition, the main objective of the meetings was to discuss local, regional and international political developments of relevance to the Yemeni crisis and their impact on Yemen. The agenda of the meetings included a general discussion over latest developments at the local, regional and international level of relevance, followed by a discussion of the main principles, pertaining to each of the three main tracks connected with the roadmap for the resumption of the political process, which will regulate the work of each working group. The three tracks are the confidence-building measures, the military and security track, and the political agreement track

يونيو 11-13 ، 2019: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة11-13 يونيو والذي خصص لإستكمال مناقشة تصميم مسار لعودة العملية السياسية وتحديد أولوياتها على ثلاثة مسارات هي: مسار إجراءات بناء الثقة، المسار السياسي، المسار الأمني والعسكري، بالإضافة إلى محاولة إيجاد آلية تنفذية لهذا المسارات، من خلال الاضافة والتعديل والتفسير لما قد تم انجازه من اجتماع الفريق في شهر ابريل 2019. كما هدف الإجتماع إلى نقاش المستجدات السياسية على الساحة اليمنية والإقليمية والدولية ذات الصلة بالأوضاع في اليمن ونحو حل الازمة السياسية  وعلى وجه الخصوص نتائج اجتماع عمان بين طرفي النزاع في اليمن حول الايرادات الناتجة من مواني الحديدة تماشيا مع اتفاقية استوكهولم الخاصة بالحديدة وتحويل الإيرادات المتأتية من موانئها الثلاثة نحو دفع رواتب موظفي الخدمة المدنية بعد الانسحاب الأحادي للقوات الحوثية من الموانئ البحرية الثلاثة تحت إشراف اللجنة الخاصة المعنية التابعة للأمم المتحدة

June 11-13, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group during 11-13 June, which was allocated to continue designing a roadmap for the return of the political process and prioritize it based on three tracks: the confidence building process, the political track, the security and military track, as well as to determine implementation mechanisms for these tracks. The members also discussed the latest local, regional, and international political developments of relevance to Yemen, in particular the economic meeting held in Amman, Jordan mid of May 2019, which came as part of the continuation of the implementation process of the Stockholm Hodeida Agreement and diverting the revenues generated from its three ports towards paying salaries of civil servants following the unilateral withdrawal of Houthi forces from the three seaports under the supervision of the UN relevant special committee

April 15-17, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group during April 15-17, which was allocated to designing a path for the return of the political process and prioritize it on three tracks: the confidence building process, the political track, the security and military track. March 20-21, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the period 20-21 March, which was devoted to discussing the latest local, regional and international developments related to the Yemeni affairs, and to follow up the developments related to the implementation of the Swedish agreements. The SSG Members then discussed the means of how to resume the political process by identifying concerns and opportunities to resume the political process, the options for comprehensive national settlement after the Stockholm Agreements, identifying useful topics that could be the focus of future negotiations, and what guarantees of regional and international support for post-political agreement

February 10-11, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Programme organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group during the period 10-11 February, which was devoted to discussing the latest local, regional and international developments related to the Yemeni affairs and follow-up developments related to the implementation of the agreements reached in Sweden early December 2018. The members were briefed about the work progress in the political process being led by Mr. Martin Griffiths, the Secretary General Special Envoy for Yemen by the Head of the Political Office at the Office of the UN special Envoy, Mr. Marwan Al-Ali about the development connected with implementation of Hodeidah as well as development pertaining to Taiz. The Members also listened to a summary presentation about the remarks of the members and some political components on the future vision of Yemen 2019-2030 prepared by a team mandated by the Supreme Political Council which the Council has submitted to the Government for discussion and approval

January 23-24, 2019: The Political Dialogue Support Program organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group during the period 23-24 January, which was devoted to discussing the latest local, regional and international developments related to the Yemeni affairs and follow-up developments related to the implementation of the Swedish agreements and the visits of the Special Envoy to Yemen on the resumption of the political process In Yemen. Members also listened to a presentation of members’ remarks and observations and political components on the future vision of Yemen 2019-2030 prepared by a team mandated by the Supreme Political Council which the Council has approved it and submitted to the Government for discussion. The vision was presented the SSG members by Dr. Yasser Al-Houri, Secretary of the Council to the team in order for the SSG to enrich it with criticism and submit proposals to the Supreme Council

ديسمبر 30-31، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة 30-31 ديسمبر والذي خصص لمناقشة أخر التطورات المحلية والاقليمية والدولية المتعلقة بالشأن اليمني سياسيا ومنها المشارورات التي عقدت في بداية الشهر في السويد بشأن استئناف العملية السياسية في اليمن، كما استمع الأعضاء إلى عرض لمسودة حول الرؤية المستقبلية لليمن 2019-2030 والتي يعدها المجلس السياسي الأعلى وقدمها عضو فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي الدكتور/ ياسر الحوري، أمين سر المجلس. كما قام الأعضاء بعملية تقييم لعمل الفريق خلال العام المنصرم وتحديد الايجابيات والسلبيات التي رافقت وواجهت عمل الفريق خلال العام وكيفية التغلب عليها وبما يسهم نحو تعزيز عمل الفريق وبما يخدم العملية السياسية وإنهاء الصراع بين الأطراف اليمنية

December 30-31, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the period 30-31 December Which was devoted to discuss the latest local, regional and international developments pertaining to Yemen political affairs, including the latest round of consultations held at the beginning of the month in Sweden on the resumption of the political process in Yemen. The SSG Members also listened to a presentation on the draft plan on the future of Yemen 2019-2030, prepared by the Supreme Political Council and presented by a member of the SSG, Dr. Yasser Al-Huri, Secretary of the Supreme Political Council. The members also evaluated the work of the group during the past year by identifying the pros and cons facing the members and accompanied the work of the Group during the year and how to overcome them during next year in order to contribute to enhancing the work of the group and serving the political process towards ending the conflict between Yemeni parties to the conflict

نوفمبر 21-22 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الفترة 21-22 نوفمبر والذي خصص لمناقشة أخر التطورات على الساحة اليمنية والاقليمية والدولية بالشأن اليمني سياسيا واقتصاديا وإنسانيا، كما استمع الأعضاء إلى عرض حول الوضع الاقتصادي الراهن في البلد  وسبل التغلب أو الحد من تبعاته والذي أعده أحد أعضاء الفريق. بعد ذلك، ناقش الأعضاء الإحاطة التي قدمها المبعوث الخاص إلى اليمن السيد مارتن غريفيتش أمام مجلس الأمن في 16 نوفمبر وكذلك تم التطرق إلى مشروع القرار البريطاني حول اليمن والذي قدم إلى مجلس الأمن في 19 نوفمبر 2018. وفي اليوم الثاني تم مناقشة التحديات والمخاطر التي قد تقف عقبة أمام المشاركة وانجاح العملية السياسية وجولة المشاورات/ المفاوضات المرجح انعقادها في بداية ديسمبر من هذا العام. بعد ذلك تم تقسيم الأعضاء إلى مجموعات عمل مصغرة لتحديد أهم هذه التحديات والمخاطر، وبعد استعراضهما في جلسة عامة تم بعد ذلك دمج مخرجات المجموعتين في منتج واحد يعكس رؤية فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي حول أهم التحديات والمخاطر التي يمكن أن تواجة المشاورات / المفاوضات القادمة في ديسمبر

November 21-22, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) during the period 21-22 November. The meeting was  devoted to discussing the latest developments at the local, regional and international levels as well as the political, economic and humanitarian situations in Yemen. The SSG members listened to a presentation on the current economic situation in the country and ways to overcome or reduce its consequences, prepared by one member of the group. Then, the members stood before the briefing statement of the Special Envoy for Yemen, Mr. Martin Griffiths, before the Security Council on November 16, as well as the British draft resolution on Yemen presented to the Security Council on 19 November 2018. In the second day, potential challenges and risks were discussed  standing against the success of the political process and the new round of consultations / negotiations, likely to be held in early December  this year. The members were then divided into small working groups to identify the most important challenges and risks. After reviewing them in a plenary session, the outputs of the two groups were integrated into a single product that reflected the vision of the Strategic Support Group on the most important challenges and risks that could be facing  the upcoming consultations/ negotiations

أكتوبر 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 16، 17، 21 من أكتوبر والذي خصص لمعالجة الأزمة الأقتصادية في اليمن. في البداية، استمع الأعضاء إلى ملخص عن اجتماع برلين المنعقد خلال  22-25 من سبتمبر حول مستويات الحكم الوطنية والمحلية في مرحلة ما بعد الإتفاق السياسي، كما  أستمع الأعضاء إلى نتائج عمل الفريق  حول خيار عقد جلسة جديدة من المشاورات أم خيار الدخول في مفاوضات مباشرة بين الأطراف المتصارعة بهدف استكمال مخرجاتهم. في اليوم الثاني، أستمع الأعضاء إلى عرض عن الأوضاع الأقتصادية؛ المشاكل والمعالجات  من قبل الأستاذ عبدالملك الثور، مدير بنك اليمن والكويت، وإلى ملخص عن الأوضاع الأقتصادية في اليمن والحلول على المدى القريب والمتوسط والبعيد من قبل معالي الأستاذ / حسين عبدالله مقبولي، نأئب رئيس الوزراء وزير المالية. وفي اليوم الثالث، وبعد جلسة عصف ذهني خلال جلسة عامة لتحديد الموجهات العامة ، تم تقسيم الأعضاء إلى مجموعتي عمل  للوصل إلى مقترحات والخروج برؤية موحدة للفريق لمعالجة الوضع الأقتصادي من الأزمة اليمنية

October 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Program organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group on Oct. 16, 17 and 21, which was devoted to addressing the economic crisis in Yemen. On first day, the members listened to a summary of the Berlin’s meeting held on 22-25 September about the national and local governance levels after reaching a political agreement. Then, the members stood before the outcomes of SSG small work groups regarding an option to commence a new round of consultations or the option to enter direct negotiations between the parties in the conflict in order to finalize them. On the second day, members listened to a presentation on the economic situation, problems and solutions by Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Thaor, Director of Yemen-Kuwait Bank, and a summary about the economic situation in Yemen; the short, medium, and long term solutions to the economic situation by HE Hussein Abdullah Maqbouli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. On the third day, after a brainstorming session during a public session to determine the general guidelines, the members were divided into two working groups to reach proposals and come up with a unified vision for the group on how to address the economic situation of the crisis in Yemen

سبتمبر10-11، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 10-11 سبتمبر  وذلك لإستعراض تقارير متعلقة بالأوضاع في اليمن وإطلاعهم بالمزيد من نتائج اجتماع الخبراء الأخير في برلين المنعقد خلال الفترة 20-23 يوليو 2018، وكذلك عن الاجتماع التشاوري المنعقد في لندن في 7-8 أغسطس، وكذلك مناقشة ردود الأفعال على الساحة المحلية والاقليمية والدولية وأثرها على الأزمة والعملية السياسية في اليمن حول عدم انعقاد مشاورات جنيف التي كان مقررا لها أن تبدأ في 6 سبتمبر 2018 . كما ناقش الأعضاء السيناريوهات المستقبلية سواً في مواصلة عملية المشاورات أو في الانتقال إلى المفاوضات في اطار الحل الشامل للأزمة اليمنية

September 10-11, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 10-11 September to review reports of relevance to the situation in Yemen, to further inform them about the latest expert meeting held in Berlin during 20-23 July 2018, and about the consultative meeting held in London during7-8 August. Moreover, the meeting was dedicated to discuss reactions at the local, regional and international levels and their impact on the crisis and the political process in general in light of failure to hold the Geneva consultations as planned to begin on 6 September 2018. The SSG members also discussed future scenarios, such as whether to continue the process of consultations or to move towards negotiations within the framework of a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis

أغسطس 12-13، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 12-13 أغسطس  وذلك لإطلاعهم على نتائج اجتماع الخبراء الأخير في برلين المنعقد خلال الفترة 20-23 يوليو 2018، وكذلك مناقشة المستجدات السياسية على الساحة المحلية والاقليمية والدولية وأثرها على الأزمة والعملية السياسية في اليمن. كما ناقش الأعضاء دعوة المبعوث الخاص إلى اليمن لعقد مشاورات في جنيف تبدأ في السادس من سبتمبر 2018 وقيام أعضاء الفريق بتطوير رؤية حول عوامل نجاح المشاورات والصعوبات التي قد تواجها وكيفية التغلب عليها في اطار الحل الشامل للأزمة اليمنية

August 12-13, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group during 12-13 August in order to inform them about the results of the latest experts’ meeting held in Berlin on 20-23 July 2018, as well as to discuss political developments at the local, regional and international levels and its impact on the crisis and the political process in Yemen. The SSG members also discussed the call by the Special Envoy for Yemen to hold consultation meetings in Geneva between Yemeni parties to the conflict, starting on 6 September 2018. In this regards, the SSG members developed a vision on the factors for the success of the consultations and the difficulties and challenges that may be encountered to fail the consultations and how to overcome them within the framework of a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis and the transition from consultations to the negotiations

يونيو 26-27، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 26-27 يونيو  وذلك لمناقشة المستجدات السياسية على الساحة المحلية والاقليمية والدولية وأثرها على الأزمة والعملية السياسية في اليمن بما فيها التطورات العسكرية والإنسانية في مدينة الحديدة ، والأثر من زيارات المبعوث الخاص إلى اليمن إلى صنعاء خلال هذا الشهر،  بعد ذلك تم تقسيم الفريق إلى مجموعتي عمل وذلك لمناقشة أفكار ومقترحات يمكن أن تسهم في الحد من تهدور الأوضاع الإنسانية والعسكرية على الساحل الغربي من محافظة الحديدة في اطار الحل الشامل للأزمة اليمنية

مايو 14-15، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 14-15 مايو  وذلك لمناقشة المستجدات السياسية على الساحة المحلية والاقليمية والدولية وأثرها على الأزمة والعملية السياسية في اليمن ، كما استمع أعضاء الفريق إلى استعراض لنتائج التدريب حول وساطة الأمم المتحدة في وقف اطلاق النار من قبل السيدة/ هيثر كون، مسئولة إصلاح القطاع الأمني في مكتب مبعوث الأمين الخاص إلى اليمن. بعد ذلك أستكمل أعضاء الفريق مناقشة مقترح العودة إلى العملية السياسية فيما يتعلق بالجانب الأمني وتشكيل لجنة أمنية عسكرية وبالمؤسسة الرئاسية وتشكيل حكومة شاملة توافقية والسيناريوهات المحتملة في عملية التمثيل  للأطراف في العملية التفاوضية مستقبلاً

May 14-15, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 14-15 May in order to discuss political developments at the local, regional and international levels and their impacts on the crisis and the political process in Yemen. The SSG members also listened to the key results from the “Mediation of the United Nations in Ceasefire” Training held in Norway last month, by Ms. A. Heather Coyne, Senior Security Sector Reform Officer at the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen. The SSG members then discussed their proposal on the return to the political process with regard to the security aspect and the formation of a military and security commission, the presidency institution, the formation of an inclusive government, and the possible scenarios for the representation of all parties in the future negotiation process

ابريل 11-12، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 11-12 أبريل وذلك لمناقشة واستعراض  نتائج إجتماع الفريق مع مبعوث الأمين العام إلى اليمن السيد/ مارتن غريفيث المنعقد في 29 مارس 2018. بعد ذلك ناقش الفريق المقترح الذي طرحه المبعوث والمتعلق بتشكيل حكومة توافق لتيسيرالأعمال. وفي اليوم الثاني تم استكمال مناقشة عمل الفريق من الأجتماعات السابقة  حول مقترحهم نحوالعودة إلى العملية السياسية. وفي اليوم الثاني، تم تقسيم الفريق إلى مجموعتي عمل بشأن المقترح واستعراض مخرجاتهم قبل الانتهاء من اليوم الثاني

April 11-12, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on April 11-12 to discuss and review the result of their meeting with the Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen, Mr. Martin Griffiths, held on 29 March 2018. After that, the SSG discussed the question raised by the Special Envoy about how to form a Consensual Government to facilitate the tasks during the transitional phase. On the second day, the SSG finished discussion their suggestion from their previous meetings regarding the return to the political process through dividing the members into two working groups in order to complete their suggestion and they reviewed their final product before the end of second day

لقاء مفتوح مع مبعوث الأمين العام إلى اليمن

مارس 29، 2018: ألتقى فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي اليوم بوفد الأمم المتحدة برئاسة  مبعوث الأمم المتحدة لليمن السيد/ مارتن غريفث في إطار زيارته الميدانية إلى اليمن لمدة أسبوع وذلك للتباحث والنقاش حول كيفية استئناف العملية السياسية وعودة المفاوضات مع التركيز على الجانب الإنساني وتحديد الأطراف المشاركة في المفاوضات مع التأكيد على أنه لا يوجد حل عسكري للأزمة اليمنية وأنه يعمل على على الترتيبات اللازمة للحل السياسي،. وأشاد المبعوث بدور فريق الدعم في عملية السلام وما يقوم به الفريق من جهود وتقديم مبادرات نحو تحقيق تقارب سياسي بين الأطراف المتنازعة

March 29, 2018: The Strategic Support  Group (SSG) met today with the United Nations delegation led by the United Nations envoy to Yemen Mr. Martin Griffith as part of his field visit to Yemen for a week to discuss how to resume the political process and return to the negotiations with a focus on the humanitarian side and identifying the parties that would participate in the negotiations. Mr. Griffiths reconfirmed that there is no military solution for the Yemeni crisis. He pointed out that he is working on arrangements for a political solution. The Special Envoy commended the role of the SSG in the peace process and for the efforts of the members in developing initiatives towards political rapprochement between the conflicting parties

مارس 14-15، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 14-15 مارس وذلك لمناقشة واستعراض نتائج الاجتماعات المنعقدة في الخارج بشأن اليمن وخصوصا اجتماع التوافق النسوي اليمني المنعقد في عمان خلال الفترة 27 فبراير إلى 4 مارس 2018 وكذلك اجتماع برلين المنعقد خلال الفترة 26 فبراير إلى 1 مارس 2018 تحت عنوان: (إطلالة على المفاوضات السياسية اليمنية – العناصر الأساسية والخيارات لعملية سلام جديدة).  كما تم استعراض نتائج عمل المجموعة المصغرة من الفريق حول العودة إلى العملية السياسية. وفي اليوم الثاني، تم تقسيم الفريق إلى مجموعتي عمل، الأولى حول إعادة الثقة بين الأطراف  (المشاورات المبدئية – وقف الأعمال القتالية) والمجموعة الثانية حول (المفاوضات السياسية – الاتفاق السياسي) واستعراض مخرجاتهم قبل الانتهاء من اليوم الثاني

March 14-15, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 14-15 March to stand before latest two meetings held abroad pertaining to Yemen; the first is the UN Women Team meeting held in Amman during 27 February to 4 March 2018, and the meeting held in Berlin held during 26 February to 1 March 2018 under the title: (Overview of Yemeni political negotiations – the basic elements and options for a new peace process). Then, the SSG reviewed the outcome of the SSG small working group on the return to the political process. On the second day, the SSG was divided into two working groups; the first to work on restoring trust between parties (initial consultations – cessation of hostilities) and the second group to work on (political negotiations – political agreement) and reviewing their outputs before the end of the second day

فبراير 11-12، 2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 11-12 فبراير وذلك لمناقشة واستعراض التطورات السياسية المتعلقة بالعملية السياسية في اليمن. كما بدأ الأعضاء مناقشة الأجراءات الممكنة للعودة إلى العملية السياسية وتحديد ماهي الفرص والمخاطر أمام ذلك. هذا وقد تم تنظيم اجتماعات لمجموعات مصغرة من الفريق وذلك لتقديم تصورات ورؤى حول امكانية العودة إلى العملية السياسية والدخول في  المفاوضات والحوار السياسي وتم استعراض نتائج عمل المجموعتين خلال هذا الاجتماع

يناير 17-18 ,2018: نظم برنامج دعم الحوار السياسي الاجتماع الشهري  لفريق الدعم الاستراتيجي خلال الأيام 17 ، 18 من يناير وذلك لإستعراض وتقييم نتائج اجتماع فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي بنائب المبعوث للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة السيد / معين شريم في 9 يناير 2018 وبعد ذلك بدأ الفريق بالنقاش حول الموجهات العامة والتهيئة للعودة إلى المسار السياسي ، وفي اليوم الثاني قام الفريق بإستكمال مناقشة الموجهات العامة والبدء في وضع خارطة طريق للعودة إلى العملية السياسية في اطار خطة عمل الفريق للعام 2018 ونتائج اجتماع الفريق مع نائب المبعوث وطلبه لمقترحات حلول للعودة إلى العملية السياسية في اليمن

January 17-18, 2018: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the monthly meeting of the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on 17-18 January to review and evaluate the results of the Strategic Support Group meeting with the Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Mr. Mueen Shareem on 9 January 2018, then the SSG members began discussion of the general guidelines pertaining to how to resume the political process. On the second day, the SSG members resumed the discussion started on day one and began developing a road map for the resumption of the political process within the framework of the action plan of the SSG for the year 2018 and the results of their meeting with the Deputy Special Envoy and his request for suggestions and solutions for the return of the political process in Yemen

January 9, 2018: The Strategic Support Group (SSG) met today with the United Nations delegation led by UN Deputy Special Envoy to Yemen Mr. Mueen Shareem to discuss how to resume the political process. During this open discussion meeting, Mr. Shareem  briefed the SSG members on the results of his meetings with Yemen officials and with the Chairperson of the High Political Council. The Deputy Special Envoy praised the role of the SSG members in the peace process and for their exerted efforts and the initiatives towards achieving political rapprochement between the parties to the conflict

December 20, 28 2017: The Political Dialogue Support Programme (PDSP) organized the final monthly meeting for the Strategic Support Group (SSG) on December 20 & 28 to review the outcome of the latest Berlin meeting on the Southern issue and the Ethiopian meeting on strengthening local authority in the provision of  minimum services to citizens. During the second day, the SSG members evaluated their performance during 2017 and began drafting their action plan on mechanisms and issues to be discussed in their meetings during 2018

November 16, 22-23 2017; The Strategic Support Group (SSG) held its regular monthly meeting for November  to discuss the latest events and developments in Yemen arena and for the SSG members to begin to develop visions on political rapprochement, the economic situations, and reviving and moving forwards the political process. It is worth mentioning that NDSP organized three separate meetings for the small working groups of the SSG during 19,20, and 21 of November to finish their outputs

October 26, 2017; The Strategic Support Group (SSG) held its regular monthly meeting for October  to discuss the latest events and developments in particular, the outcomes of the meetings organized by NDSP abroad pertaining to the political negotiation and the peace process in Yemen. The SSG members also discussed the agenda for the SSG for the remaining period of this year with confirmation of the importance that members communicate with leadership of their parties and components about the meetings agendas as well as the outcomes of the meetings of relevance to the peace process in Yemen

May 10-11, 2017: The Strategic Support Group (SSG) held its regular monthly meeting for May to review the outcomes of meetings of Dr April Longley, from the ICG, held with some members of SSG during last April. The SSG members stood before the Societal Committee and other initiatives to install peace in Taiz. Then, the SSG members began developing an initiative for a vision to a Yemen-Yemeni dialogue to end the current crisis in Yemen

In the first day, the members discussed the immediate measures of trust and consensus building prior to a comprehensive political agreement as well as the structural means to sustain National Partnership and inclusivity during the transitional period. February 23, 2017; The SSG held its regular meeting today. During the first session, the members discussed the political developments in Yemeni, including the statement of the UN envoy  to Yemen before the Security Council on January 26, 2017,  the statement of the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs on the humanitarian situation in Yemen, and the report of the International Crisis Group (Yemen’s al-Qaeda: expanding the base). In the second session, the members finished developing a vision on the National Authority to monitor and supervise the implementation of the outcomes of NDC and the Political agreement

January 18-19, 2017; The SSG organized its monthly meeting for discussion of two papers on the National Authority (NB). The first paper prepared by the SSG August of last year and the second paper prepared by a group of Yemeni wise persons in Berlin on December 2016. The SSG have begun, through small working groups, developing a vision on the structuring of the national authority (NB). It is expected that the vision on the NB will be completed in February 2017

October 29, 2016; The SSG held its second session this month which consisted on a discussion panel with delegation representatives of GPC and AA in the Kuwait negotiations; the political deadlock and the issues in the Kuwait negotiations and the path and the overall political process. The session also included discussion of the pardon initiative to follow up the implementation of the General Pardon issued by the Highest Political Council on 20 September 2016

The SSG also discussed the General Pardon Contact Committee which is comprised of four female members and Abdulbari Taher as their consultant.

سبتمبر 26، 2016؛ عقد فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي اجتماعه الثاني لهذا الشهر والذي تطرق إلى الانسداد في العملية السياسيفي اليمن ومناقشة امكانية حلحلة  بين الأنسداد السياسي عبر استعراض ومناقشة الحلول الكامنة لذلك بين أعضاء الفريق . بعد ذلك بداء الفريق مناقشة خطة عمل الفريق وتحديد أولويات عمل الفريق في المرحلة القادمة

ٍSeptember 26, 2016; The SSG held its second meeting this month to stand before the political deadlock in the Yemeni negotiations and what possible solutions to move the negotiations forwards. The SSG members began drafting a work plan and their priorities for the upcoming period

سبتمبر 2016؛ عقد فريق الدعم الاستراتيجي اجتماعه الاول لهذا الشهر خلال الفترة 31 أغسطس إلى 1 سبتمبر وذلك لمناقشة المستجدات السياسية ومنها تشكيل المجلس السياسي الأعلى بين حزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام ومكون أنصار الله وتأثيرها على عملية بناء السلام في اليمن. خلال هذه الاجتماع، تم استعراض المقترح المعد من قبل مجموعة مصغرة من الفريق حول تشكيل الهيئة الوطنية . وفي اليوم الثاني، بدأء الفريق مناقشة أمكانية تفعيل دور السلطة المحلية في تقديم الخدمات الأساسية للمواطنين، علاوة على ذلك تم مناقشة امكانية تعزيز الشراكة بين المجتمع المحلي والسلطة المحلية في خدمة الشعب من خلال عرض قام بتقديمة الدكتور أحمد الماوري

September 2016; The SSG held its first meeting during August 31- 1 September to stand before the recent political developments headed by the formation of the High Political Council and their impacts on the peace building process in Yemen. The members stood before the proposal on the national authority (NB), prepared a small team of the SSG. On the second day, the SSG began discussion of the means to reactive the role of the local authority in the provision of services to citizens at the local community level. Dr Ahmed Al-Mawari provided a presentation on how to activate the role of local authority and how to create a partnership between civil society and the local authority in the provision of basic services to local community
